HomeGround Services has an opportunity available within our Initial, Assessment and Planning (IAP) team for an individual committed to working with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
IAP Services is HomeGround's first point of contact with our clients and the role of staff is to provide information, referral and support to assist families and individuals to find short term and long term secure and affordable housing.
It's a high volume service responding to the needs of homeless people, many of whom are experiencing crisis.
We are therefore looking for someone who can work under pressure and are able to make sound decisions quickly. You should have empathy for our clients and an ability to relate effectively and sensitively to people from diverse backgrounds. A track record of working well in a team environment and a commitment to working collaboratively with colleagues and other services are also vital.
